Bluetooth dialing

I have a 12 Max with nav. I connect fine to my iPhone but when I try to dial using the voice commands, I have to always say it last name first. I tried changing settings on my phone as I'm using the handset phonebook but no matter where I have it set, the car always wants it last name first. Couldnt find any settings that would affect this. Any thoughts?

I don't use the car's voice commands at all, really. I WAS pleased to find that Siri works awesome through the car's overhead microphone, and that's how I do all of my dialing, messages, music, etc. I've even got the navigation in my car, but typically I just look up the address in my iPhone and use the voice guidance from my free mapquest app. I have yet to use the music box as well since I just always run my Bluetooth streaming from my phone for music as well. Lol, seems the iPhone is all I really need.

At a recent apple event they said that many cars will be coming with a built-in Siri button soon. I wonder if Nissan is gonna jump on that wagon.
