Soft paint
Soft paint
This might be the dumbest post ever but here goes, there actually is an upside to our super soft clearcoat. It makes it very easy for paint correction. I realize if it wasn't soft it would scratch so easy but at least it's easy to repair. I had a good scrape on the front bumper and a quick wet sand and polish and it's good as new. Just my two cents.
i agree the max is no the softest paint i have been woring on my highlander is BUTTER sft only needed a polishing pad a 106ff.
But I recently changed LSPs and only used a gray pad and 85rd and it removed some light swirls which is great when only using such a light abrasive

Like acne they won't respond to the same treatment.
if i owned the car i would do a clear bra but lease so no option
i use dr color chip and wet sand and it looks damn good unless u r right on it. BUT i dont drive highway alot so it has not been a huge problem for me

I wonder what it would cost to spray an additional harder clearcoat over the factory paint before it gets beat up.
not hard assuming your body is straight and no scratches deeper than CC
all u have to do is lightly sand CC and lay over I assume
BUT proper detailing technique will help eliminate unwanted blemishes
