so i have flat tire long story short dont have key to wheel locks because dealer stole it. most likely same dealer that 6 months ago stole my spare 19 inch rim from trunk and put a **** donut with sticker on ruff of trunk saying im equipd with a spare tire and ememergency kit which i never had.

 

all wheel locks are different... if you bought your car new, you have a card with numbers for the wheel locks, and you can order new key in dealer,... and you also get a donut for a spare not an extra 19 inch rim.......

 

True. With the 6th gen, it was possible to order the car with an OEM wheel and tire as a spare (only around 5% of new 6th gens arrived at dealers with that option), but the donut is the only spare for the 7th gen.

And as you said, wheel locks vary just like keys do, else the criminals would buy one and unlock all locks. My dealer had no trouble unlocking my wheel once when I had cleaned out my trunk and forgot to put the lock socket back in the car, and I didn't have my key card with me, either.

 

thx for info but bought my 7gen used with 12k car with a spare rim with tire in trunk which a year later dealer swapped it for a donut.

 

Did you ask for the swapout of the spare tire of did they just do it.
