Fogs as DRL

I would like to get my fogs to work independently of the headlights. Does anyone know of a mod to get this to work? On my audi there is a relay that you can jump that allows the fogs to function independently. any ideas?

I dont really want to have to put a switch in but i do want the DRLs. Also, if i decide to wire in switch, how would i do that and still keep the functionality of the switch on the stalk?

Find a constant power source, to a switch and then to where? TIA

Try using the search feature with the term "fog light"

I have read that thread. It does not say indefinitely that there is a way to use the fogs as drl's independently of the headlights... Not does it say how to wire in an aftermarket switch to bypass the stock switch

i'd really like to get this done tomorrow if anyone has any guidance on putting in a switch... im assuming id need a toggle switch, with the positive of that switch running to a constant power source and the other wire coming from switch being spliced into one or both of the fog lights.

can someone enlighten me?

That thread is vague, I agree, but the main thing I got from that thread was to either use a wireless switch (which I assume uses RF frequency remote to activate) or get some sort of Relay...and you're to IM KMoney and ask him what he did. What isn't explained is if KMoney did this with his factory fogs, or added DRLs and then used the relay.

It'd be nice if KMoney made a thread about what he did with that relay...it may even be out there, I just haven't searched for it yet.

I did. Thank you. I'll probably put in a switch eventually
