Android Users…Should I get a Galaxy?

Hey guys

I’ve been an IPhone user since they came out, recently had a play of a friends Galaxy S3 and was really impressed.

Should I get one, or do you think the iPhone 5 is the go?

One thing got me hooked was this game a friend showed me.

Got one, love it. But then I am an anti-apple kind of guy.

ive had Android phones for years; I tried an iPhone first but I never really liked the interface it felt like Fisher Price. several years ago Android phones were decent; these days though they're incredible. you really cant go wrong with the new Samsung phones, everyone I know who has one loves it. im still stuck with an HTC until my contract ends but I'll be gettin whatever Samsung's latest is then

Never owned a iPhone but a lot of people I know own one and plus I have an iTouch So I use the OS a lot. Android is way more customizable straight out the box. If I showed you my S3 homescreen, you couldn't tell what OS I was running. With iOS, their interface has looked the same since day one. Some people like simplicity and hate change and are satisfied with iOS. Not me.

P.S. I heard Apple was starting trial production of the 5S next month and will release it first quarter 2013 so If you consider the iPhone, I'd wait and see if the 5S is really coming out that soon.

The Galaxy S3 is the way to go. Consider this, Apple would not have gone through all the trouble of suing Samsung if their phones were not a legitimate threat.

In order to keep this thread from being moved; the Galaxy S3 works great with the infotainment system in the Maxima.

Are you using it through the USB port or bluetooth. I pick my Maxima up tomorrow night and am curious as to how that works.

BTW, OP's first post is to come to a Maxima forum and ask this kind of question??? Still an informative post to me. We are due upgrades at our house now and S3 can be put on the short list.

I have owned an iPhone & I currently have the Galaxy s3 (The New One). I can honestly say that the Apple had a little more pep than the Galaxy. But overall, The Galaxy s3 Had so many more apps that were fun to use, the navigation is awesome (No more handheld GPS), its a durable phone if you drop it which I never do anyway, the memory and auto upload feature of Google + is awesome instead of downloading photos every time. Hands down, the Galaxy s3 is the way to go!

I am anti-apple as well. I am not into those haughty taughty people who have to have the new iPhone, the new iPad, the New Macbook, this and that apple this and apple that...Seriously?

Android certainly in a macro approach will outrun Apple in its advances in technology, and personally still think they do as of now.

I am using the bluetooth connection. Another option I like to throw at people is to pick up a used iPod. It doesn't even matter if the screen is slightly cracked. You can keep it in your car and only take it out to sync. I feel this way because the integration and control for an iPod is better than any other device you can hook up. I use my S3 for Pandora and Last FM.

I'm on the Galaxy S2 and I think it's pretty awesome. Prior to it, I was using an iPhone 3GS and I have to say the S2 was similar in interface and user friendly enough to jump away from the iPhone. Just upgraded it (manually) to 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich and it runs great. The S3 is even better - been thinking of upgrading to that baby but we'll see (I just bought car parts afterall). Funny thing, my favorite upgrade from the S2 to the S3: Gorilla Glass.

To be fair, I am envious of apple and all the 3rd party support they get (cases, gadgets, etc.). I suppose that may change as Samsung is becoming more of a contender. The iPhone 5 is a nice phone. Heck, the 4/4S is a nice phone too. Just depends on what you want out of it.

My vote goes to the galaxy.
