Mirror Tilt in Reverse

Whats up all...I see a couple side mirror tilting threads but started this one anyways as I don't want to hijack anybodys thread. My car is a 2012 S with Limited Edition package...my question is do I have the mirror tilt? When I go into reverse nothing happens...is there a button or something I need to do to activate it?

Some models don't have it - check your owner's manual. But usually, if the power mirror selector is in the middle position and you're in reverse with no down tilt, you don't have it.

Ah ok, I will try with the selector in the middle and see hat happens. Thanks!

The Limited edition Package added turn signals to the outside mirrors, but not the lowering in reverse option. The lowering in reverse option was only available as part of the Sport and Premium Packages when the 7th gen first came out, and that may still be the case.

That is indeed still the case as I do not have this feature. Thanks!

The switch has to be on the left or right for it to move the mirrors. In the middle they will not move.

Out of curiosity, can the amount of the tilt be adjusted or is it fixed?

Edit:
As best as I can see in the manual, the amount of tilt is not adjustable and as said above the tilt only occurs if the mirror selector switch is either in the left or right mirror position.

AND only if the car has either the Sport Package or the Premium Package.

If the mirror selector is in...

Left = Only drivers mirror tilts
Middle = Nothing tilts, just your head..
Right = Both of them tilt

But I don't really know whether we can adjust the tilting position and save it for future reference, can we?

I have my selector all the way to the left and both mirrors tilt down when in Reverse.

My car isn't US Spec so I guess maybe that differs from our cars. Hmmm

That's odd, mine is a GCC/Middle East spec and both my mirrors tilt in either left or right position. I'll double check this and report back if I'm incorrect.

I was wondering why my tilt feature was working intermittenly. I normally keep the switch in the middle and move it when I need to adjust them. Cool!
