Eibach spring install
Eibach spring install
I'm looking into having the eibach pro kit installed on my '12 maxima base SV. I know some have posted that they didn't notice much of a difference when installed on maxima's with the sport package.
Should i see a big difference in handling being that my Maxima has the base SV package?

Well, the SV is not base, but I think I get what you mean. Sport has the larger wheels and torsion bars that the SV Premium does not.
So what the Eibach kit will do is drop the body about an inch, inch and a half, which makes your cornering tighter, plus it looks better. Why these car manus insist on a large wheel-well gap is beyond me. Most of us are not off-roading.
I haven't done it to mine yet, but I did do it on a previous vehicle. The fast cornering was pretty amazing.
Just my 2 cents.

I've noticed tighter cornering, obviously less body roll turning/braking/accelerating and slightly better handling. My car is a 2010S running on stock 18s. They've been on a little over two weeks now. Here's the data I have:
Stock Measurements:
Front Right - 28.25"
Rear Right - 28.25"
Front Left - 28.25"
Rear Left - 28.37"
Day two of drop:
Front Right - 27"
Rear Right - 27.25"
Front Left - 27"
Rear Left - 27.25"
Today (SAME):
Front Right - 27"
Rear Right - 27.25"
Front Left - 27"
Rear Left - 27.25"
I'm surprised they settled so quickly (although, I did play a lot the day of and day after the swap... hehe). I'm really happy with the outcome and although have that voice in the back of my head saying "Can be moar low," I'll resist for now as I scrape every here and there on speed bumps. I am a bit worried about the stress load on the shock absorbers if anything.

I have Eibach springs and the day I installed and test drove it for the 1st time, noticed it handled a lot better. Felt less floaty. I feel confident on every turn I make. For looks, it's a subtle drop. But if you like the slammed look, go coils.
i noticed a pretty decent bump in handling, like J said you can take turns definitely with more confidence. on-ramps are a blast now haha. something that really helped was upgrading the rear sway bar too. drives like a shark
Hey Guys,
Are you all using the stock shocks and Struts when you installed the Eibach ?
If not what are your recommendations, will there be a difference if you go to a better brand for Struts and Shocks and maybe new bushings ?

I'm interested to see what everyone else's final measurements were.
