I broke my key fob. I still have the key, just can't use the keyless entry.

Do I need a new key cut? Or can I just buy the key fob (with or without key).

 

Probably just need a new fob as you have the key already.. And you don't want to change the lock on your car.. Lol..
I don't think out key has any function other than in an emergency because I don't think there is a chip in it. I think you just need a fob and have it programmed.

 

Pick up a fob on eBay and pay the dealer to program it. It's cheaper that way than paying the dealership.

Amazon is another place to get an extra fob that's what I did and then paid the dealer to program it

Yes all you need is a new FOB.
But we aware they are not all the same!!
Make sure you get correct one for your maxima. Example Rouge FOB looks like the maxima. It will not work. I found out the hard way! LOL.
Look under your key and you will coding print on the fob.
It will let you know what will work maxima and what will not.
