Much love to State Line Nissan in KCMO

I just bought my Maxima on Monday and while messing with the radio and setting up the Homelink I drained the battery. I called my dealer told them the problem and they made me an appointment the next day. In the meantime I discovered a problem with the ipod, a loose foglight and I wanted my doors to unlock when the car was put in park.

They fixed my foglight, gave me a brand new battery, changed my unlocking sequence and ordered the parts needed to play my ipod. They did all the work and are even going to cover the part needed to fix the radio free of charge.

Now, I've never bought an extended warranty on any used car I ever owned and I told the finance guy that when I signed the paperwork, (plus it was $2300).

After considering all the high dollar electrical stuff on this new 2010 car that could go wrong I changed my mind during the 3 days I had it.

When I gave them the spare keys to my trade in they offered me the extended warranty but at a reduced price of $1285.

Guess who has his first extended warranty plan? Hell, I may even start getting my oil changed at the dealership.

On second thought that's not gonna happen.

Cool to hear you got a good experience at the dealer.

I haven't had to really deal with them here yet for anything major but they were fairly helpful about questions I had and inquiries made regarding parts and whatnot.

My warranty is about to expire as well. Might be a good thing to look into.

Wait! They can change the unlocking sequence? Drives me nuts my doors don't unlock when I put it in park.

Yes I found out about that when I had my 2010 Murano. On the Maxima the doors are set to lock when the car hits a certain speed and they unlock when you turn the car off. You can only change them to either on or off. The dealer has to hook your car up to their diagnostic machine and they can change them a number of ways.

The dealer closest to me (about 25 miles) wanted to charge me $125 dollars to do my Murano (for a 5 minute job) so I went to State Line and they only charged me $21 dollars.

State Line is about 45 miles from my house but because of the way they took care of me, I vowed at that time to give them all my business when it came to anything Nissan related.
