Opinions on Caliper Paint?

Looking to see if you guys have any ideas that maybe I have not thought or combinations, but this is my current ride set-up and definetly looking into painting my calipers and getting new rotors and pads, I bought Black and Orange G2 paint and I was thinking about painting the brackets black and the claiper orange, or maybe vise versa. I am looking for a little color.

That may be a good idea. I saw a guy today with your color Max and had the whole caliper painted yellow and outlined it in blue. It actually looked nice. I'm not good with painting things on my car so I won't be trying it but I think your idea may be nice! Good luck!

I painted mine just black with the caliper paint kit and it was much easier and nicer end result than I expected. Post some pics of what you end up doing.

Only downside to color on your calipers is it gets dirty fast. I painted with a black g2 kit and its held up great and looks great even when dirty

Im also planning on using Hawk Ceramic street performance pads too and I'm pretty sure they are yellow on the back, so It might be black orange and yellow, which I do not want. But I was planning on using the ornage theme somewhere else on the car in time and good taste too. This is confusing, I might have to do it on photoshop, but im not very good at it!

Yellow or orange would jump out from behind you wheels. I painted mine on my last car and thy held up pretty well. I only had to touch them up a few times, typically after having new tires put on.

Mine are Red. And yes they get dirty really quick. When they are clean though, it brings out a nice look!

well after a lot of thinking I think(lol) im going to paint the caliper brackets orange and the caliper itself black, cause the brackets are larger and I think that would look better for color than painting the caliper orange and the brackets black, which we don't have the largest calipers on this car.
Ok now I need spring to hurry up and get here so I can do this.

So I'm getting,

EBC Ultramax Rotors (slotted and all black until first break-in)
Hawk Ceramic Performance pads (front and rear)
Paint calipers of course, lol
I was going to do braided brake lines, but not sure I will ever need it as I really dont do any strainuous driving.

Thanx for all your comments!

Make sure you clean the calipers well before painting.

Use a metal wire brush to scrape the hell out of everything first then spray with brake cleaner

Oh yeah I deffenitly plan on doing that, I bought a set of brushes that go onto your drill, they come with a bunch of brushes all different sizes to get everywhere, my fronts are not that bad, but the rear have a lot of rust on them, I was actually thinking about getting remans for the rears, but I guess if its not broken don't mess with it. I plan on spending a lot of time to clean them well, I bought new slider pin boots, and gonna clean and re-grease everything. this is gonna take some time and I'll probably be without my car for a day but in the end it will be worth it, I'll try to take a bunch of pics and post them, but I'm the type that wants to take pics but once i start a job i really don't want to stop to take pics! lol

When I purchased my max they were already red and I gotta say they look sweet. They really stand out nicely. I haven't had time to upload my pics but I'll post them up so you can see them as well

Due to the cold weather...My caliper paint is chipping off like crazy. I have to redo all 4 when it gets nicer out. The cold is really screwing up my Maxima lately. Not cool weather..not cool. I am thinking about getting caliper covers though.

yes..they came off a g37, with the 14 rotors front and rear...they are a 4 piston in the front, and 2 piston in the rear compared to our single pistons, also they look a lot better than the OEM.. i painted them because i wanted blue calipers with the silver...and also they said Infiniti..on them..

Nicely done Staggered357. How much did you pay for the calipers? I had bought a set over the summer but never had a chance to put them on. Not too sure if I am going to be selling them as yet.

I found a complete set for 1100 shipped calipers, rotors and hardware... Painted and installed myself...with a buddy... Just go ahead put them on... If you want to use your stock rotors I have the brackets, PM if you want them...
