Rear Diffuser? New Product Discussion Thread

So the talk in the 7th gen Maxima community definitely seems to be around a rear diffuser, something to occupy the lower area of the rear valance between the exhaust.

So let's discuss it and it's possible creation, what you guys want to see, other examples on different vehicles or previous gen Maxima's that looked good, etc.

I'm not making any promises, but I will absolutely have conversations with everyone here at STILLEN about making it a reality if it's feasible.

Not everything is possible to do in a beautiful material like polyurethane, so we just need to make sure what you're looking for meets the goals.

So let's discuss!

Id like to see something come offer your new corners and between the exhaust
Nothing crazy just to add some slight facelift

i think a rear diffuser like on a g37 would look good... it seems like most people are upset because cars like the g37 coupe/sedan and even altima coupe/sedan has such a large aftermarket and the maxima doesnt really have much compared to those cars... i would love to buy a rear diffuser especially if it could fit quad tips but if not i'll just swap out my mufflers lol

Something GTR-esque ...

that's really what we're trying to turn our cars into.

edit: And make sure it will fit my exhaust tips (not stock)

the 2nd one jbling posted is good... 4 fins is definitely better than 2... or even 5 fins instead of that vent area

What Nemo7 posted is hot. Nice find.... I don't care as long as it's subtle, clean and eye catching. I just want to get rid of my plasti-dipped diffuser already

I would be a potential buyer. Simple and sweet, maybe with some reflectors. On the other hand, how about the Lexus LS style of rectangular exhausts built into the difuser. I dont know if someone could photoshop it. Our sexy round exhausts will be hard to beat, but I always wondered how it would look.

possibly a format to post like if we was each customizing at this exact moment ? I mean like a way to keep track of what was said should be thrown in their - such has space for exhaust tips-reflectors-would we want it to be solid - or have ridges ? Am I sounding right lol - I'm just enthusiastic about this

I'm in if this happens! I like the carbon fiber one Jbling posted (Post #10) as well as Ahmed's. Both are really good looks imo.

wish list item #1 for sure...please pay attention to comments and detail, as your rear corners are not a hit with this crowd

Great discussion, thank you for the suggestions and examples. Will be discussing this in detail with the group here.

I realize some of you aren't a fan of the rear corners, but it was asked for, and they are selling well. But I personally would like to see a diffuser option, it's just a matter of what's feasible and what we can do, and that I will find out.

i don't know where did you get that they was asked for? but where ever they was asked for was the right place and this community needs to go their and put MORE INPUT... but I'm very glad your here listening and it is sooo much appreciated i feel many guys/gals are ready to start switching over because theirs not enough "Mods" to play with vs. the other brands I'm preying this falls through .

Look up the fujimura z34 or evo-r diffuser. I'd be interested.

I've been on this forum for years and have never heard anyone say they wanted what are basically large gaudy splash guards on the rear. All I've heard is diffuser diffuser diffuser diffuser diffuser. Sarona made a rear piece, despite ugly, so this has to be possible. Whoever is the smart company to first make a diffuser gets all the business. Look at your front lip everyone has it. Someone is going to design one and mass produce it, the question is does STILLEN want to be that company or does someone else slide in and take all the business?

No no no no no Josh@STILLEN.... The STREETS demand a rear diffuser!!!! Please make this happen. I hope you and Stillen had a meeting today to discuss it. I don't know who asked for rear corners, Stillen shouldn't have had listened and have bad taste If a rear diffuser was made instead of rear corners, I bet Stillen will be getting a lot more business like Ghozt said.
