Racing Stripes On Maxima !! Suggestions
Racing stripes are fine on very sporty cars, especially on brightly colored smaller ones. But the Maxima, although not a huge car, is decently large, and aimed at a near-luxury audience. That is why colors such as candy apple red, school bus orange, passionate purple, banana yellow and avocado green are not offered.
The color palate of the 7th generation Maxima is very classy and subdued - aimed at that clientele harboring a rather subdued preference in colors for their vehicle. The primary artistic expression on the 7th gen Maxima is the carefully crafted sculpting of body parts, especially along the hood and sides of the vehicle. Racing stripes would draw the viewer's eyes away from the attractive 'coke bottle' sculpting.
I suppose it would be simpler to say I feel racing stripes do not seem to fit with a FWD CVT-powered near-luxury family sedan. Of course some folks will see this differently.
