Thought I was done with mods for a while, but after seeing the 'look' on Ghozt's Max, looks like I have one more mod left...

Looks good man!

there were a few small spots on the edge where it met the car that I needed to sand down just a little bit to get it to fit flush. you'll always want to test fit any aftermarket piece before getting it painted, and if you read the STILLEN instructions it even says to pre-fit and sand if necessary then prep paint and install. it wasnt anything major, took maybe 5-10 minutes to make it fit how I'd like. the real ***** is getting it to stick to the car. dont try to skip any steps from cleaning the car with 3m adhesion prep or whatever to using the 3m adhesion promoter designed for the 3m foam tapes. if you dont prep right or use the right promoter you may be re-mounting it a second time.

if you use a de-waxer/de-greaser on the surface first and then adhesion promoter you'll have a hard time getting it back off. the first time i tried i didnt do the adhesion promoter and it didnt stick at all. second time i didnt de-wax and it didnt stick for long. third time its rock solid, id need to put a bit of weight behind it to yank it off

also one note, if you drill the pilot holes (for the screws in the wheel wells) off center you could end up pushing the side skirt off the car slightly when you tighten the screw. i ended up just drilling a brand new hole and pushing the side skirt on tight and tightening it up to avoid any issues and have as flush of a fit as I could.

Ha! You'll prolly beat me. Just dropped mine off at the body shop yesterday, but I'm going out of town for a while. I'm not going to be able to install them until May 5th!

Lip and side skirts - scrubbed, sanded, painted $275. The guy said he'd install them for free but wouldn't guarantee they'd hold and he'd need the car for a couple days. I told him I wanted to try and install them myself.

Wish I could show you pics of a different color but I got a Super Black too.

Did a full 6 hour detail including buffer to my baby, installed the side skirts and RL end-links. Next week - interior detail and tint the tails (again).

Ghotz
i blacked out all my chrome window trim also. i also did the chrome door handles. you should black out those with the vinyl also. The easiest way imo is place vinyl over entire front of door handle then trim along the tops of handles with razor blade. you will only blacking out the Front of door handle..prob take all of 20-30 min to do all

I saw a metallic slate Max with the side skirts on them on the way to work today. They really do look better in person. Opened my window, gave a thumbs up, but I don't think the driver saw. Wish I could've taken a picture.

Although, if I annoyed the driver (was a female driver) then I apologize. Your ride was friggin awesome.
