Help with illuminated door sills

Im trying to install my illuminated factory sills on my 2012 maxima production 6/12, my question is where is the plug, what color is it I'm confused , I know the right side is under the glove box by the wall and left is by the drunk opener but I look and see nothing, I was so eager to install them after seeing the write ups on the forum but after hanging upside down for what seems to be endless time
Looking under the dash I'm losing hope

I put a set on my 2012 and the connectors are exactly where they say they are in the instructions. They are not easy to see especially on the passenger side. I could not bend my head enough to see up in there. I ended up using my hands and feeling up in the area the instructions talk about and was able to feel them. They are small connectors but are also keyed so they can only fit together on way, you cannot connect them wrong. Just feel with your hands and when you find them, take the connector from the sill plates and plug them together. Sorry I could not give you a better way.

Is it on top of of the white fuse box, or in the white box or I'm no where near it

No, I pretty sure it was below the fuse box. I just looked at the instructions and did the passenger side first. I could not see the connector and after trying to lay on my back and look up in there, I just felt around with my fingers and found the small connector. It was not easy as you are finding out. The driver side is easier as you can actually see that one slightly behind the parking brake foot pedal. Hang in there, you will find it.

Well the first thing you wanna do is look at the build date of your vehicle, my Max is a 2012 but with a build date of Feb 2012. The brown plug and play is only for July 2012 and up build date so if your 2012 is not within that range, there is no brown plug to plug and play. I was so furious when I wasted a whole day looking and searching. I finally decided to quick splice to the foot well lighting. It actually very easy, just look up the DIY written by Ghozt.
