Nav display

I know a lot of the maxima's have the nav system, I have not seen to much on any failures of them BUT i had one, it acted up 3 times, with different problems but mostly just a blank screen, totally black, So with my experience with it goin to let everyone know what to expect, First off if your screen goes black, Dont turn the car off (if you can get by this) go to the dealer and show them what it is doing. There is a tsb out for this problem but the service dept has a ritural they need to go by to order a new display, Then when they change it out i am assuming that the only thing they change is the display and not the HDD. I did not loose any music on the music box or any of the nav addresses. if any one needs or wants the tsb or this let me know and i will dig it out of my paperwork. (Cost is around 750 usd, ) if you pay for it. Mine was under warranty no cost involved)

Thanks for the heads up.
Good thing yours was under warranty, $750 is pretty hefty.

Angry Nav display

My navigation stopped working yesterday. Get a blank screen when I push the map button. If go back to sat or radio everything works "Except Nav". Anyone else experience this problem.ook

Took my Max it to the dealership. Looks like the HDD failed "MAP and Musicbox doesnt work". Nissan has to order a whole AV control unit "$5000". Thank god for the extended warranty from Santa Rosa Nissan.
