2011 Maxima Brakes-Changing

Anyone have a link on how to change these brake pads. I really want to do it tomorrow or even later. Thanks a lot.

You will need a couple sized wrench. Sockets wont work. 4 bolts each caliper.

It's basically the same with most cars these days.

This will give you a good idea. I wouldn't let the caliper hang like in the video, though...

Depends on how much city driving vs highway. My 2005 had the original brakes when I traded it with about 65K.

I swapped for new rotors and pads at about about 40K on my 2010, mostly for the bling factor. The original pads had a LOT of meat on them at 40K.

Geeesh mine has 29000 miles on it and just come out of a oil change which the dealer did and pads had plenty of meat on them according to the multi item check list they do on maint. sounds fishy to me.

With 23K I also have a lot of pad left. Most driving is city (25mph average) but use engine breaking and the CVT alot to assist during initial slowing.

If your just changing the pads its east remove the 2 screws caliper pops out take the old brakes off and put the lube on and put the new pads on easy haha now if you change the discs too its alot more steps.
