Hello,

I have a 2013 Maxima Sport with the Tech package and I am having issues with the Navigation/ GPS. 30% of the time, the computer cannot find the streets I am going to- many in the city of Boston. This is pretty annoying.

Is there any way to update these systems? This is my first car with intergrated GPS and I hate having to use my phone when I paid a premium for this feature.

Are you using the voice recognition system, or typing in the address? I'm in Boston and NYC every week and the navigation using VR is spot- on.

I find that keying in the city first and than the street address work better than the other way around

 

Using VR, the system asks for:
State
City
Street name
House Number

in that order- once you are comfortable with the system it's very simple and a lot safer than keying in the information
