2012 Maxima SV - BBK's

I own a 2012 SV (non-sport) with 18" wheels. I really like the handling and comfort of the factory setup, but I like the look of the BBK's I've seen. I have looked at some of the BBK sites and don't see anything that is 'bolt on' for my Max.

Does anyone know if there are any 'bolt on' BBK's currently available for the 2012 SV? I want to keep my stock wheels. I would prefer not to put on a used set from some other Nissan unless that is the only choice. I have spent some time searching the forum, but I haven't seen much for the 2012.

Thanks,

Craig

z1motorsports has the OEM BBK's for sale that come with the G37/370z. everything is bolt-on but I think with our OEM rims you'll need a spacer for it to clear the spokes. also you will need a new spare tire, one from a G37 or 370z

the 370z/G37 BBK is a direct bolt-on. just need the calipers, the bigger rotors, and new pads. im actually leaning towards the 2005 M35 2-piston front caliper setup with stoptech centric slotted rotors and carbotech ax6 pads. These calipers use our stock 12.6" size rotor and thatrs good cause i dont wanna add more rotational mass to the front axle of a FWD car

how are those Alien rotors holding up? I'm ready to buy a new set of rotors and pads. You think they would still honor that group buy price?

Ghozt why not use the 370z base calipers? same rotor size as the max and its dual pistons... not sure if the M35 calipers are direct bolt on, have u looked to see?

Whats wrong with the addition of rotating mass?

the Aliens are cool, I need more stopping power though cause I plan to hit the track a couple times. you can definitely try that group buy it might still be going on.

My friend has a 2005 M35 that he upgraded to a BBK from and already sold me his OEM calipers. The M35 has the same fitment as our car it looks like, some guy on My7thgen figured this out.

Regarding the rotational mass it's like buying a heavier/bigger rim - the less weight and mass on your axle the better. The amount of rotational mass affects how much energy it takes to rotate it. More energy spent on rotation = lost power. Same premise as underdrive pulleys as well. Since we're a FWD the front axle is already doing everything.

Oh yeah yeah that I know. I thought it was something else.. lol

"If" I have any power loss its not major or significant honestly. The only thing I have noticed is my tires don't spin as easily from gradual take off then again just might be my tires I have on them? lol Other then that it about or near the same.
