Removing grille

I'm sure this has been covered but I searched the forum and didn't find my answer.

The bottom two tabs in the middle of the grille are a pain in the *** and my hands are too big to fit between the foam piece and the tab. Does anyone have a solution to get these freakin tabs out?!

I enlisted the aid of a small screwdriver. It was still difficult.

You could pull the bumper facia down a bit.

You actually don't have to take the bumper off at all to plastic dip. I did it without having to take the bumper off at all. Look it up on here, or YouTube.

I tried to spray some dip with the grille still on the car and putting cardboard in between and taping off the front and didn't get the results I wanted. I don't have a lot of space to work with in a garage so I had to spray it outside which I believe the wind caused it to have a bad result. I want to remove the grille and take it in the garage to get some good even coats.

I just plasti-dipped my grille this past weekend. Those 2 tabs you're talking about were indeed a pain in the a**. I tried using a flathead and a hook looking thing to get under the tab and pull up but neither worked. Eventually, I just kept yanking at it and I finally got frustrated to the point where I didn't care if the tabs broke. I don't know how the tabs came loose though but they did not break. Instead, I happened to break the top tab of the Nissan emblem while trying to pop that off.

Lots of struggling and cussing and I was able to get mine out. Probably would be easier with the bumper pulled forward a bit.
