The other day I was driving in DS and I gently pressed the pedal to the floor, the car went to 6k rpm with out even switching the gear, after two sec of waiting I immediately slowed down. Also at high revs it sounds as If the car squeals...... Is this me or does anyone also experience this ? The car is a 2012 with 14,500 miles

 

Yes twice as a matter of fact. I was in D and bumped 6600rpm, was going less than 60mph.
I don't believe there's a TSB for this condition so you'll just need to watch for it. Two times in 25K for me is not that a big deal.
I haven't experienced the "squeal" you mention. good luck.

 

I have the same problem with my 2012 at 25,000 miles. I even made a video of that noise to put on the forum lol
