Ground Wire Shadow After Morimoto elite HID install
I recently installed the h11 morimoto elite kit in my 2012 maxima S and I noticed two distinct ground wire shadows. I think this may be due to installing the bulbs with the ground wire on top but it doesn't seem like there is any other way to install these since there is 1 larger tab and 2 smaller tabs that only fit one way. Has anyone else had any issues with two very distinct ground wire shadow's after installing a h11 morimoto HID kit and how did you fix it? Thanks.

It looks like a few people on the Prius forums have the same issues as you. Source here.
And HIDPlanet (I love that site, it got me learning about these things) thread here: Link.
How you installed it is correct as per the design, but the flaw in another part of the design is that for some reason, the ground wire is on top. Try emailing customer service and see if they are willing to work with you and refund your money or work out another solution. TRS is well known for their customer service if I remember correctly.
I believe the ground wire is supposed to be on the bottom, as the the top of the projector bowl is what reflects the light outwards and on the ground, while the bottom part of the projector bowl is what shoots it upwards (and hence blocked by the shield thingy).
One more idea before the worst case scenario is to file down the nubs and rotate the bulb. I suggest leaving one nub intact that will at least hold the bulb in place and preventing it from rotating.
Last and most expensive solution is to try retrofitting a proper D2S projector in there, or swap them for the OEM Xenon Headlight set.
Good luck.
