After I installed the Protuning HID headlights, I don't know if it's a coincidence, but the service engine soon light has been on and the power windows, even though they work, will not close automatically after the upward button click.
I looked at the fusebox and there is no corresponding fuses for the power windows. Has anyone seen this before and would anyone know which fuses to check before I start pulling them all out one at a time?

Did you disconnect the battery?
If you did, the car lost it's memory of the window positions. I forget what the proper procedure is, but I think it is this to let it relearn the positions and reactivate the feature:

1. Press until you feel the click the window down on both windows, and hold for 10 seconds.
2. Release.
3. Pull upwards until the click, and hold for 10 seconds.
4. Release.
5. Test feature to ensure proper relearning and activation.

I see your other thread has not been answered for the Check Engine Light/Service Engine Soon Light.
Go to your local AutoZone or Advance Auto Parts store and pull engine codes for free, and Google or Search the forums for the trouble code.

If you get no trouble codes, then try this:

1. Uninstall your HID system, and put the old bulbs (halogen?) back in.
2. If the SES Light turns off, then you should know where the problem is.
   You may have to try driving around for a bit and see if it turns of after a while. Reset car computer (disconnect battery) for a while if it does not do so on its own.

 

Probably a low voltage code or something similar. I would not uninstall your lights. Just go to the store and ask them to pull the codes, ask to borrow the controller once it is plugged in, and clear it.
Most stores are no longer allowed to clear them themselves.

The window directions are correct from what I remember. Just do each window individually.

I worked! Thanks a million.

Now for the SES light, as I was hooking up my HIDs, I also did the fog lights, but I didn't wire them up because I couldn't find a way through the firewall. So I sealed the connector to the OEM lights (they are not plugged into anything) and it got me thinking, since you guys mentionned that the SES light can be a voltage problem, do you think this is triggering the SES light?

Is there a way to get rid of the SES light by some means? I did make sure the gas cap is well screwed on, I did disconnect the battery and connected it again and ran about 150 miles, so the problem didn't go away.

How does one clear the code that I've been reading about here?

You need a scan tool that plugs into the OBD2 port under the dash.
Most parts stores have them. You can see if they will do it, but a lot of places won't specifically clear codes. You can borrow or rent the scan tool and clear the code.
The dealerships charge about $30-40 to do this. It takes less than 2 minutes.
