Exhaust systems are really a matter of personal taste. What I think sounds great, could sound awful to you.

Check out YouTube, there are plenty of videos with 2009-2013 Maxima's. Borla, AAM, Stillen, etc.

AAM has the deepest sound because they have a 3" to 2.5" pipe diameter compared to 2.5 to 2 or 2.5 to 2.25 as the others do

Was that a good OMG or a bad OMG I am interested in this too but I heard so many different opinions on all of them. I guess like dcpatters said it's a matter of personal taste. I've checked on Youtube and in my opinion some of them sound the same. It could be the video quality and sound but I'm confused about all this.

The price of the AAM exhaust is highway robbery. You guys could come to the defense all you want, but there is no reason why the AAM exhaust should cost so much.

I build custom exhaust. I wish I could charge those prices.

you do realize the price of the AAM exhaust is the price for exhausts on other VQ platforms right? ~$800 for the other exhaust systems is cheap as hell. i owned the Borla and now have AAM, the price is easily seen in the higher quality welds, and much better sound/look.

Oh yeah high quality welds aways calls for the price to double compared to the next competitor.

I actually like the price where it's at. Means less people are gonna be modding their car like mine.

lol it's hand built by a smaller shop here in MD, as compared to mass produced in another country. AAM doesn't get low quality steel in bulk, and they don't pay their workers complete crap salaries so if you want a quality bolt-on exhaust you gotta pay. nobody is forcing you to buy the unit, but i havent run into a single person who's gotten it and regretted it or cried over the price later.

and like said above, the price means not everyone is going to have it making it all that much more exclusive. AAM knows it is the most wanted exhaust and has no reason to change the price; i dont blame them. it's the only production 3" to 2.5" bolt-on exhaust available for our cars, and sounds amazing without any rasp or bad drone at all. you can of course go custom for a lot cheaper; alot of people have done that and come out with nice sounds. do you man, but don't sit here and cry about not wanting to pay for some of the higher priced mods when in reality mods for our platform are pretty inexpensive.
