A better CVT oil than nissans NS2?

Going to do a complete flush on the CVT oil,
Previous owner, bought the CVT oil on autozone, and i want to change it ,
Not comfortable with that,
Was thinking of the Synthetic ENEOS CVT oil, any input on this oil?
The weather here gets really hot on summer, 120F on hottest days.

Why not just stick with the oil that they strongly recommend?

You should def only be using Nissan brand tranny fluid. Also a flush is not recommended at all! This will stir up debris in the tranny and cause problems. You must do a simple drain and fill. You can repeat the process if you are not satisfied with one drain.

Read your service manual it should state the exact brand fluid and quantity to use.

water in the trans fluid? thats not right. do you mean water as in rain water or coolant?

i dont understand why theres water in the trans, that can toast the internals

I personally would tread gently with this one. Remember the warranty on the cvt, I don't know what year your max is, some have a 120000 mile warrenty.

Thanks a lot for those kind words and thanks again for buying from me.

I saw this thread late or I would have told him I had some for sale. But I am glad he bought OEM. With these CVT, it is best we stick to OEM fluids.

Well, for any other person looking for CVT fluid, feel free to contact me for some.

I think ALL Maximas with CVT have the 120,000 miles warranty. I know for a fact my 2008 Maxima has the warranty. But I am at 164,000 miles now, so I am way past the warranty, but my CVT shifts like butter. Car drives like new. It is always up and ready to go. I have "trained" my Max so much so that it doesn't know how to slow down, it is always ready to sprint, hence its name, CATCH ME IF YOU CAN. That car can move and its all STOCK.

yeah be careful about buying fluids on ebay; people re-fill those with random stuff sometimes and re-sell them. buy from an authorized Nissan parts dealer...
