Intake block off plates and the CVT

I know NWP proved that there is not enough gain in power compared to the loss in torque on the new VQ. But they didn't test it on a CVT. The CVT from what I've noticed stays above the 4000 to 4500 point when floored so the factory flaps would be open anyway. Leading me to think this is a worth while mod for a CVT. I know it helped my 05 Alti SE-R

Thoughts?

A lot of folks here have the block off plates installed. You might get mixed reviews, but I for one will tell you this...

There is a slight loss of power down low, but the car really opens up at the higher rpms. Makes highway driving nicer. IMO, the mod is similar to an SSIM mod from the Z forums.
