Steering Wheel easy exit tilt

Hey Guys,

Whenever I start the car my steering wheel will come down automatically to the adjusted level normally but it creates a squeak as it comes down.

It also squeaks when i turn off the car and it automatically adjusts up for an easy exit.

Is there a solution to this like WD-40 or some kind of grease. If so how or where should i apply it?

From browsing the forums, I think your tilt motor is on its way out...a $600 repair! If possible take it to the dealer to have it disabled asap! Or it will get stuck in place.

Not saying it is not the motor going out. But before mine went out it never made any abnormal noises or gave any indication it was going out. One day i just tried to adjust it and it made grinding noises.

You don't have to take it to the dealer to disable it. You can do it from the "settings" menu.
