Anyway, jumped for the sprint booster. Its more expensive but the wiring is less intrusive and there is a 30 day return period. The salesman told me that it actually has memory so you can set it up and remove it completely if you dont want to change it. Makes me wonder - cant 10 people use the same one then??
you seem to not understand fully what the electronic throttle control is doing. its limiting the throttle to protect the transmission. you can cry and call me a troll all day, but you have no idea what you're talking about and/or doing. comparing my boosted Maxima to this toy you just bought isn't exactly an even comparison.

I've stated BEFORE it's a transmission issue you have, not a throttle issue. The throttle has a restriction on it so the CVT doesn't experience high torque on the belt from a standstill. This throttle advance won't fix that problem. Ghost had already stated that... FYI drive by wire is very responsive(throttle response on my R6 was immediate); this issue is purely trans. related.

Yes^. It's kinda like when you first start your car. It sure seems to me that it has more response for that minute before it warms up but it really doesn't.

your opinion is duly noted. I will let you know if you were right pretty soon. Just got the tracking number. Anywho, there were several members that were interested in this and asked me to keep them updated, so I will. I hope that doesn't bother you too much.

This thread is fun. Lol. I will say this though (and I'm assuming everyone here including mr. Ghozt will agree): glad to see someone ask a question that they're going to experiment on themselves. Lots of people ask questions that they expect to have someone else answer for them. So good job on actually being a tester and not just a talker. Hope you find what you're looking for. And I hope the arguments continue, cuz that **** is fun to read.

I did not bother reading all the posts but save your money. All this does is change the reading from pedal to ECU. In other words, you may be at 20% throttle and it tells the ECU 50%. IMO, it is a meaningless device.

Freaking UPS with signature. They only come when you are at work, and then you need to drive 40 mins in traffic to fkkn Palatine and wait in line to pick it up. Thats if you call to abort delivery, otherwise they keep coming when you are at work and there is no way for you to receive you product. How is this possible in todays technology is beyond me. If there was any competition this company should be out of business.
Anywho, i ducked below the steering wheel to see how this thing is gona go in tomorrow. I think I see the connector, but I tried pulling it out and it wouldn't come out. I can't really see well there, I don't know if I need to push a pin before pulling it out. Or do I need to unbolt the entire gas pedal assembly? I see one bolt for that. Is that all?
Any instructions with that appreciated. Ghozt probably knows how to do that. Maybe he can chime in regardless of his opinion on the product..

The company you bought the device from required the signature, otherwise UPS will leave it on the front porch. At least that's the way it works where I live. You could have tracked the shipment online and set up an alternate delivery address which UPS would of delivered it to, so it's not UPS's fault that you failed to use "todays technology".

This. It's one of those features that can be aggravating but at the end of the day you'd rather know that you are getting your package and not someone else happening to see it on your porch. 👌

There is a 5 dollars fee for dropping it at the UPS store. Hello?? THE UPS STORE!
You can't change the delivery address when product is already in transit man!
All these years and UPS still hasn't figured out a way to address that. What today's technology? Shipping itself doesn't cost 5 dollars and now you have to add 5 more? This is a hidden 5 dollar cost to every shipment. If there was no restriction to entry in this business this thing would never exist like this. They would either fix it or go out of business.

I wouldn't know anything about installing this unit. I'd contact the manufacturer if there isn't clear instructions for how to use it.

took me a while to install it because its hard to see how to release the connector. Didn't wana force it and break it. Decided to pull the whole gas pedal assembly out. In hindsight, installation of this thing should take you exactly 5 mins if you watch my video.

Only driven for 20 mins so far. Had to come back to watch hockey. Will write more detailed review after more experience with the thing. First impressions are: the Red setting is a bit much for me, but the Green setting should have been stock on this car. Feels very close to driving with a real wire. Lag is reduced so much that its unnoticeable. Still present though, just very little. CVT works different with this thing! You know how when you drive easy with 35 MPH and decide to push a little to pass a car? It takes a good second with stock settings where the car just does nothing. This will move the CVT and you will hear the engine respond almost right away. Almost. There is still a little bit of lag. Its just low enough to be invisible.
Red setting for me is good only for the track where you want wide open throttle right away. Makes you too conscious of how much you press the pedal.
Oh, I got a cheap cotton tshirt as a gift too. And one tie-wrap. One. A piece of doubleside tape too, almost forgot. The switch is really tiny. Good. I don't want people to see that I am 'ricing' the car.
