Trans issue???

2010 Sport/Tech car runs perfect,,,,, but once in a while when I accelerate normally from stop it almost feels like a little slip, then it grabs and accelerates harder,,,,,is that just a trait of the CVT? 36000 miles

Anyone else experience something like this ??

I had this hesitation with my first transmission. Nissan replaced the valve body in it & that seemed to take care of that issue.

Your welcome. Take it in to see what they tell. Our year and the 09 have a 10yr/120k mile warranty on the transmission.

I did the same^...valvebody R&R, it fixed the lag. Learning the CVT's nuances also helps a lot.

That's true, it takes a little time to learn how this tyranny behaves.

I'm about to take my car in to be checked as this new transmission is exhibiting the same things my original transmission had issues with. If I put it in sport mode, at times the RPM's stay really high and the transmission doesn't "change gears". It stays in s1. The other thing is when I first start the car & say I back out of the driveway then put it in drive, it takes a little bit to engage. Not as long as with the first tranny, but certainly not as fast as when this tranny was first installed. This really has me thinking hard about keeping the car past the warranty period.

Wow, you deserve a break with your tranny already. I have a similar problem with mine not shifting (using the word "shifting" for lack of a better term) but mine will do it in both M and D modes where it will reach the upper rpm's way too soon relative to the speed your driving. It doesn't do it very often and I could probably never get it to replicate for a service tech. Something I'll learn to live with...isn't that bad, but something you shouldn't have to deal with at all!
Good luck with getting your issues resolved.

Thanks.

I will see what the dealer tells me. Hoping it will just be some sort of easy fix.
