Go to walmart and get some pennzoil platinum. Should be perfect for what you need. I stand by ultra platinum but it's so hard to find in stores

Yeah in the test that have been performed, Platinum is rated about Mobil 1 and Ultra Platinum is above Platinum.

Mobil 1, just like Royal Purple is good name with an even better track record, neither has really done much to improve their formula unlike the competition.

Yeah but the sticky is a bit on the dated side so I guess it can't hurt to ask

Yep, once I finish with the remaining 5 quart jugs of Pennzoil Platinum I will go to M1.

All major manufacturers of synthetic oil produce an excellent product. When you start looking at off brands, that's where quality might drop off. If you are going to use an excellent synthetic oil then make sure you support it with a quality filter. I use Nissan OEM filters in both of my Nissans.

I've always been an AMSOil fan. Gotta open the wallet wide though.

You're absolutely right. I did hear that M1 oils are on the thin side which isn't necessarily good.

But yeah the filter definitely makes or breaks the oil you use. I use the K&N HP-1010

I use 5w-30 regular conventional oil. I get an oil change every 6500 miles. Car runs great and I haven't had any engine issues.

You're a brave man to run dyno oil that long. But if it works for you, that's all that matters

Whatever major brand synthetic is on sale is what I run,,,,,,,,,,and its a complete waste of money !!!! I never keep cars long enough to justify it,,,,, but I still run it.

I agree with Ross on this one. VQ engines are tough on oil. I would recommend doing an oil analysis at your next change to see how the dino oil is holding up.

I've been using pennzoil ultra synthetic and i was recommended to stay around 7000 mile OCI's.

Exactly but yeah I also use pennzoil ultra and change every 6,000-6,500. Just tried ultra 5w-40 and plan to switch to ultra platinum 0w-40 after this
