Programming software and cable

I bought software with a cable for my wife's Highlander off eBay and am looking for something like this for my Maxima. I'm not looking to tune for performance, just looking to see if I can modify/turn on or off features. Does something like this exist? Has anyone toyed with trying to reduce engine braking? I'm not sure if this is possible on a car but I was able to reduce engine braking on my Yamaha motorcycle via the ECU. Thanks for any help.

I'm not familair with any software/cable but someone had the dealer turn off engine braking recently. He stated that the change was not all that noticeable. If you do a search you can probably find the thread. I learned that if you momentarily press on the accelerator when engine braking starts kicking in that causes it to stop braking.
