Has anyone ever used a product such as Meguires Plastx to remove very small scratches on plastic interior parts such as the ones around the shifter ?

Haven't used the PlastX before, but I have used Meguiar's Ultimate Polish before on glossy interior plastic with very good results. It removed all of the fine swirly scratches and didn't leave any cloudiness. I applied and removed it with a microfiber cloth. It did take a little bit of work to remove all of the fine swirls.

 

I've used the plastx on my headlights and made them look new again, it's interesting though...and may work, u might be onto something
