What DO you like about thr 7th Gen
I second the comments of Ransx77. I'm also 6'4" and 297lbs and the seat side bolsters and extension are just what I need in my other cars. I also like that I can sync more than one device to the bluetooth. Lastly, I sometimes forget to charge my phone at work and having a constant source of power in the car makes my forgetfulness no problem. This is my 3rd Maxima and 4th Nissan overall and to me every generation of Maxima seems to look better and better.
The car has beautiful curves especially looking at it from the front angle. With the panoramic roof on a winter frost paint, the contrast is amazing. This is one of the few cars that has 18" standards and 19" optional wheels that look really nice. I LOVE the BOSE (people always complain about no highs or lows) and love the imaging that it produces. When I'm listening to a really multi-instrument track it sounds like the music right in front of me. Additionally, this car is fast fast fast even with the CVT. It's a work in progress but definitely will always be a work of art.
I looove my 2013 Maxima with the Premium package. This is the first time I have owned a Maxima. 2006 Altima before this one...
Things that rock on my 7th gen:
-CVT- I love to click it into manual at any point in time at any speed. When you need to get a little power and blow by someone, it's makes it much easier. I don't find that the paddle shifters respond as well and as quickly as the gear shift though.
-Streaming Bluetooth-With the tech package I can listen to Pandora/You tube with no prob. My phone is literally the remote that I use for the stereo. Only prob- for some reason the Samsung Galaxy phones are supposed to not be compatible with the stereo. Mine DOES connect after about a min, so I'm very thankful for that!
-Dark grey wheels- I like that mine comes with the darker wheels. They show less dirt and look sweet with the tinted windows.
-"Big Body"- There is SO much room! I have taken 2 roadtrips in this car thus far and both have been quite pleasant as this car is super comfy. There's even lots of room in the back. I'm 5'9" and I have no problem.
Check out my baby...

its such a well DONE car. I was happy to see my KBB value as $17,300 which means the resale value is exactly what I expected if in fact I get that. I have been shopping it around but its hard to leave such a complete problem free car. I know I should keep it or trade it in for a new Maxima, but I have the itch to go in a different direction this time, more power, RWD....but it's tough decision when the car is so DARN good! If I trade it in I'll be back in a few months with buyers remorse asking everyone what they think I can get for my new overpowered RWD car towards a new maxima...lol!

RaceMe69 - Your car is one front license plate and one front license plate bracket from perfection. Tag seems bent in at botton, and so doesn't fit into bracket, which also looks bent. But then you may be one of those who hates the front tag messing up the car's clean looks and only keeps the front tag on part of the time.
Like others here, I love those wheels.

Outlive the other thread
I will have to take another couple of pics of mine. I'm all for opinions but I just want this thread to stay alive longer than the other one. It seems like it was started in good spirits but some of the posts about what you don't like about a car on a forum about the car seems negative. Long live the 7th Gen...at least for another year give it take
Alright, lets keep it going then...
I'll chime in even tho 7th gen is wifes car, I get to drive it rarely.
- I like the looks, despite being "outdated" the car looks as good as ever compared to other new cars on the road.
- I like the torque and power down low.
- I like the comfort of the interior and the seats, even though I prefer real leather (like in my 5th gen)
- I love heated steering wheel.
- I love the Enkei 18's that come with the 2014's.
And most of all, I love the fact that we got all that car for the price of a 4 banger Camry.
Its a real nice, luxurious, roomy car with good power. Perfect car for the wife.

First and foremost....dat àss. You all know what I'm talkin' about. (Some person listed those big hips as a dislike and I was honestly taken aback!)
I came from an '09 V6 Camry LE. This Maxima is a completely different beast. I doubt I'll ever feel the need to spend the money on a true luxury car, the Maxima has about as much luxury as I need.
I liked the peppiness of my Camry. When I needed power I had it, for the most part. The Maxima, though....when I press the gas it goes without thinking twice. With the Camry I felt like I'd press the gas, wait a moment for it to recognize that, and downshift so it could deliver the requested power. I don't feel like that's the case with the Maxima. I give it gas, and it goes.
I'm a big fella. 6'4" and 280lbs (Shout out to you other big bastàrds that posted in this thread!) and this thing feels like it fits me like a glove. The most comfortable seat I've ever sat in.
I drive 45 minutes to work on the Merritt Parkway here in Connecticut. Got rear-ended in my Camry and the car was a total loss. I was pretty depressed about losing my Camry, I really loved that car. But then I test drove a Maxima and fell in love. I legitimately enjoy the daily commute in my car.
I was about a week from dropping close to $2,000 on audio upgrades in the Camry. I'm incredibly thankful that the accident happened before I did that. The Bose system in the Maxima sounds great to me. Granted the bass could be better, but I'm in my early 30's now, and don't really have much desire to go cruising with bass thumping the way I did when I was younger. I do wish I had bluetooth streaming audio, though, so a head unit upgrade will probably be in my future.
I sense that a lot of you have had the pleasure of previously having more luxurious vehicles than the Max before ending up in one. I personally have not, and I have yet to find anything I truly dislike about the car.

I like that the steering wheel raises when turning off the car
I like the seat extension since I'm 6'4
The heated steering wheel....didnt think this would be that big of a deal, but i like it!
Panoramic sunroof
Cooling/Heating seats
290 hp

Hell yeah...heated steering wheel is awesome in the cold. Hands n feet are the two things that always get cold 1st so yeah...makes me wish I had that wheel in my 5th gen.
The looks top my list. When I'm out driving I'm always looking for other Maximas. When I see one, I'm trying to see if they notice me. Most don't
LOL
When I'm not driving my Max and I see a Max I wish I was driving mine.

Haha whenever I'm in my gfs 13 altima and a maxima flies by, I get the look from the maxima driver like u wish u had this....just funny because I do the same when I'm in the max or massima as my gf calls it
The sexy hips, the grille, the fact that Nissan decided that Maxima drivers don't need a bunch of warning beeps, buzzers to inform the driver of status conditions.
For example: My Ford Flex, when we mount the snows without TPMS on the alloys, the car gives annoying beeps, flashing light = annoying. I hate TPMS anyways...
Maxima has a quiet approach, no less effective, but much less annoying.
Good room for tall people up front, I'm 6'4" and my oldest son is 6'6" and we do well in the front, and I can sit in the rear without too much problem.
Lastly, the trunk lets me use 100% of the available space, those hinges are more expensive but I think worth the money.

I love the looks
The 7th generation maxima just looks awesome they've really given the maxima line up some long awaited justice imo
But tell me this people...how many of you could see the R34 or even the GTR (R35) design cues all over the place?
Many of us are pointing out the sexy body swells in the front at the wheels and in the back at the wheels (which is absolutely gorgeous and one of my favorite design cues BTW) this is very Skyline-ish (the skyline is only my favorite care in the world...don't ask which i love them all)
Their kind of paying homage to the quintessential nissan sports car with these little cues here and there. As a true nissan fan (2nd generation :P) when i saw the 7th gen and got a good look at it...it was love at 1st site. Its kinda like the R33 4 door skyline from back in the day mixed with R34 wheel fender swells and the hood is like a JR more business class R-35
The cues are very subtle but theres no denying they're there....who else has noticed this??

I think the Maxima gets many of it's styling cues from the Speed Racer Mark 5:

One of my favorite things about the car is the lack of buzzers and warning lights. I sometimes drive the first half mile without a seatbelt, and it is nice to be treated as if I hadn't robbed a bank.

Still loving both of mine. The 2010 and my year old one all kitted up with every option. I haven't seen that many 8th gens. I drove a couple and to be honest I can't believe they say it's all new. Sounds like the same 7th gen under a new body. I like the 7th gen design better than the 8th gen. 8th gen looks real generic now like a Mazda 6 did the business with a Kia. Anyway, loving the 7th gen still and not much to complain about considering what I got for what I paid for these cars.
