aem intake

I have a 2011 maxima sv I'm having issues with my maf sensor don't really know if its the intake causing service engine soon, but every time I put the code reader it says p0101 witch turns out to be a maf sensor already replaced and continues after a few weeks.

If memory serves me right, I think some people had issues with the AEM intake triggering the CEL. Search through the 7th gen forum to check.

Not trying to insult your intelligence but are you sure the maf is in the right way?

I have read several post about this topic and no one seems to have found a solution for this. I Really Like The Aem Intake Looks And Sounds Good. Do you have any suggestions for this?

Earlier when I had my car, I bought the AEM intake. I know for a fact it was installed correctly. Still, couldn't get it to stop triggering the check engine light. Spent lots of time on the phone with AEM, uninstalled, reinstalled, same thing. Eventually they refunded me the money. Said they don't know what else to do. They were great to work with--quick, fair, did the right thing. Since then, I bought an Injen intake, and had no issue at all. Never could say what the problem with the AEM was. Since then I've seen lots of people buy and use it with no issues. Might be something weird with my car. Who knows. Mines an '11 by the way. Good luck.

That's great to hear. I did purchase one a while back love the sound but i just couldn't get over the power loss. So i decided to just sell it and get a regular K&n filter that gave me the power with my spacer's and what not. Hope the cel stay's off for you. Good Luck.

what do you mean power loss, before or after install? also did the filter itself not do it or should I get a different style? was it a Aem intake problem>? cause they claim to increase hp? just concerned lol please feel free to comment thnks
