Projector headlights

I purchased my 2011 maxima sv last week. I noticed my low beams were not very bright. I purchased a set of silver star ultras and my husband put them in. They did nothing for more light output. We have used them in the past and they were very bright, but have never had a car with projectors in it. I thought projector headlights were suppose to be bright ? I have the halogen projectors, they don't seem to be lighting up the road well at all . Any suggestions ?

Hids, very easy to install....plug and play system, just don't buy the cheap ebay ones, you'll get what u pay for....retrofitsource.com has what you'd be looking for, h11 is the size for halogen

I am considering the hids, getting prices from my guy today. Mine did not come with them, only have the halogen projectors. I'm just surprised at how dim they are, was under the impression they would be bright. Thanks all!!

Putting a good quality HID kit was the first thing I did when I got my Maxima. Yes the light output absolutely sucks for it being a projector setup too. Here is who I use and have never had a problem.

Same. Was disappointed with headlight output after buying my 2011 Max.
First upgrade was a Morimoto HID kit, worth every penny.

The SV alone doesn't come with factory HIDs. You would have to get either the Premium or Sport package added on top to get the HIDs.

OP: As everyone else on here has stated, you should definitely upgrade to an HID kit. Don't go looking on eBay for those no name kits either. Trust a site such as theretrofitsource.com.

I finally got my HIDs installed Friday. Much better light output and love how they look. Did most of you only do the low beams? I dont use my high beams that often so I just got the low beams done. I had them professionally installed. (been using this guy for many years, he is very knowledgeable) so if I have any issues he will fix them. Thanks for all the replys everyone, you were all very helpful.
