Aftermarket spoiler light repair ?
I installed an aftermarket spoiler on my 2013 maxima but the brake light has failed twice. The seller has sent me free replacements ,but it's a pain to replace
it every few months. Has anyone had a similar issue and found a cure such as a
more reliable led strip to put in the existing housing or a complete high quality
replacement unit ??

Moisture buildup is usually the biggest culprit in led strips failing, followed by loose soldering connections. Make sure there is no consendation inside the spoiler where the led's lay.
FWIW I never buy anything off Ebay as I don't trust the products, regardless of warranty offered. I bought and installed an aftermarket spoiler on my 5th gen about 10 years ago and all the LED's are still working. I can't remember the company name but it was a quality product for about $160.00 with factory paint.
If your next led install fails then its best to start looking for a better product. A Google search should find a good replacement.
