How to get rid of "ICY" warning?

Does anyone know how to get rid of the "ICY" warning that appears when the outside temperature hits 37 degrees? I have tried scrolling through the menus and following the prompts, following the owners manual, etc. but I can't get rid of that annoying thing.

Thanks in advance.

It's there to help you..I don't think you can turn it off.

Turn it off no. But I do believe you can adjust the temperature in which it starts.

I find this "feature" totally annoying.
I don't need Nissan warning me that it is cold outside. I will know if it is cold outside when I go to my car. I will also know it is cold outside when the temp gauge shows me the outside temperature.
My guess is that the lawyers got involved and decided they need to make sure dummies know that it is, in fact, cold outside and that ice is, in fact, a possibility.
It's pretty lame. I don't believe there is a way to make it go away, so I have to hit that button every day during the winter to acknowledge a distracting and superfluous notification.

Move further south. But seriously, I agree it's a bit annoying.

I've tried everything to get rid of this too. Useless and utterly annoying to see this every day. Even the peterbilt tractors from work have this "feature" too. If one is not smart enough to be aware that it could potentially be icy out in the winter time, then I'd really hope they wouldn't be driving to begin with.
Then again I am under the impression that many from my area (Pennsylvania unfortunately ) have actually gotten their licenses from cracker jack boxes so maybe this feature is helpful to some???

It is a 2011 SV. Had a 2009SV and it had the same thing. There is a prompt to (supposedly) turn it on or off. I have it set at "off" but it is still there.

Someone mentioned being able to change the temp that it kicks-in at. I have seen that prompt as well but have never been able to get that to work either.

I can't stand this thing...I do not need (or want) to be reminded that it is cold enough for ice to be on the road...

You think that's annoying what about the "SEVERE WEATHER ALERT"? I've been getting this warning for a while because of all the rain we've been getting lately here in California. Another useless feature IMO.

That can be turned off for sure. That's in the settings in the infotainment unit.

You can turn off the pop up notification, i just don't remember how off hand. But you can't make it disappear from next to the temperature.

This

Make it zero degrees to go off. Check your Alert Settings on your Vehicle Information Display.

2013 SV Sport w Tech.
Thanks to the forum, I just changed my settings.
Go to the settings for that display, go to alerts, icy, then set it to off.
Of course, today it is in the 40's, but the weather guessers claim tomorrow will be in the 20's, so I'll report back if it works or not. There didn't seem to be a way to change what temperature it activates at, just an on and off toggle.

Mine is same way on 2014. Perhaps the 2012 and earlier have a temperature setting also and then they changed it to just on/off

So I don't get an "Icy" alert that I have to clear anymore, but the word "Icy" appears next to the temp. I can live with that. I simply hated having to clear an alert saying that it's icy out every day of the long Chicago winter.
Thankful for that.
Wish I could just turn off that word though. I'm not a moron. If it's cold outside, I assume ice is possible. I've lived near Chicago for 38 years. It's not news to me.

Seeing the way people drive on the freeways with 3 inches accumulated before the crews can plow or salt, you appear to be a minority. Either that, or people are just stupid. I'm going with the latter...

My original post was about "ICY" in the temperature display when the outside temp hit 37 or below. It looks like some of you also get a different alert. I don't have the technology package.

If you use the 2 round buttons to the left of the steering column and go through the settings there is an "on" and an "off" for "ICY". Regardless of if I have it set at on or off I still get "ICY" showing.

This thread is just as trivial today as it was four years ago. On the annoyance scale of 0-100 I would put it at 1.

I tried to toggle it off in the settings on my '14. Seemed to toggle off, but when it got cold, ICY still appeared next to the temp. Anyone figure out how to turn it off completely?
