orange key on dash

Help!!! Orange key on dash. New batt in fob. Putting key in slot doesn't do anything... light always on. Even with battery disconnect, comes back on as soon as I put it in drive.... any ideas?

I fixed mine after replacing the battery and had the same issue. I found I had to bend the contacts in the key fob to make better connection to the battery.

Orange key of death

I had the same problem back on November, key light kept coming on and then one day car wouldn't start. It has something to do with the power steering lock and vehicle control module. Nissan had to replace computer and reprogram both keys. $1600 later I had my car back. Good luck brotha.

This is my 13 Altima coupe.
No more warranty.

Car starts, drives, no symptoms at all. Just a light that is on.
