Vdc and abs light won't turn off!
Vdc and abs light won't turn off!
went away for about 2 weeks and had my 2010 Nissan Maxima parked in a garage (not heated) I live in Canada so the weather could've been anywhere from -10 to -30 while I was gone. I got back and started my car and everything went well until I put it in reverse and it wouldn't move (on flat surface) until I gave it a little gas and then I heard a thunk and I looked at my display and the abs light was on aswell as the "vdc off" light. Tried to turn the vdc back on and it wouldn't work.
Some help would be appreciated.
Thank you

Was your parking brake set while you left it parked? It's possible the cable froze. My 2000 accord has that issue now. I can't set my e Brake because it freezes in the cold weather and won't disengage
You obviously have extreme conditions, but I currently have about -10F where I live right now.
So without knowing for sure, the most common fix for those lights is to add a little brake fluid. My car freezes to the garage floor on almost a daily basis, and the only time I have had those lights is when the BF was low.
