Angry Factory Fog Lights are JUNK!!! Need help!

I am tired of these junkie factory fog lights! On my 2010 Maxima, I had to replace the fog lights twice in a year because one burned out! On my current Maxima, these lights lasted almost two years before one burned out! Does anyone know of any good aftermarket fog lights that will last me?

These. Best option I have found so far. You can hear the fans when the car is off

Original: did you have to use resistors for your fog lights? If you did, where and how did you mount them?

No resistors needed. I did leds in the whole car except the turn signals and no resistors were needed.

Not sure if they are. I'm thinking a lot of the foglights between the xtrerra/sentra/maxima of the time might actually all be the same off the shelf part...or very close.

Why are you so turned off by them? I've never had issues on my cars (3 Lexus and 2 nissans) over the years with them. I have installed them on a few cars with no problems from http://www.kbcarstuff.com. These guys make great kits. Plug and play and quality ballasts. They aren't $50 bucks but I have never had a ballast or bulb issue on either kit even without running a wire to the battery. I had the volt kit on a 2006 GS300 and 2006 Maxima for 4-5 years before ditching those cars. The initial draw on their kits is supper low compared to many out there. What made you get feed up? I am about to get one for the 7th gen today.

I actually used to get them from xenondepot, which is now kb car stuff. I would only use those or morimoto kits, they would be good for a while, then you have to change a ballast or figure out if it's in the harness or ballast. I got tired of having to take the front of my cars apart. Also the hid kits eventually burn up the reflectors in a lot of cars. I think part of it is because I used to sell and install them, and had to diagnose so many hid problems I just got sick of it.

I have had 2 kits and have never had a problem. A bit more but worth it in quality.

Also the slim digital kits they sell are from a chinese company, I was getting the same ballasts and bulbs for $5 a kit and I was only ordering 100 at a time

That does give some perspective especially since you have the experience dealing with these things. I just saw these on amazon for much less than the PIAA site itself = $214shipped, much better than $300.

Official, I can't even lie, that cut off on the led beam in the halogen housing is sick! That is as close to projector look as you can get imho. That alone makes it a considerable choice even though it costs alot more than the HID 3000k kit.

I am very picky about my lighting stuff, and I am totally satisfied with the piaas. I was a little worried about the fans, but so far so good, and I really doubt piaa would sell them if they wouldn't last. No need to worry about burning reflectors, and the beam pattern is almost as good as the stock hids

Sounds like you might have an electrical gremlin in your system. i have 6 years on my 09 and haven't had to replace them or had any trouble. Are you still under warranty? I know bulbs aren't considered a warranty item, but if you keep burning them out, there might be a greater problem.

Wait about 2 weeks for the Morimoto Type N LED foglights from TheRetrofitSource. They will be a direct bolt in for our Maximas. I already have a set on order!

^^ LED fog lights?

I'm ashamed to even call em "fog lights" because there is zero functionality with LEDs and/or HIDs in fog lights.

Here is the sales link: http://www.kbcarstuff.com/H11-h8-h16...4unix2-h11.htm

I paid $171 after a 5% discount, with free shipping and no sales tax, because the company is in Canada. The delivery took a week, which was fine with me. Lights are definitely plug-and-play!
