Which coilovers should I buy to slam my maxima

Hi everyone new to the forum. I have a 2011 SV maxima with factory 19's. Just bought the car and ready to lower it. I'm pretty much stuck on BC coilovers. Had them on every ride I have. But I don't know how low they will go down on my max. I'm looking for a 3" + drop. I going with the bc br coils . I'm stuck on two things. 1. Will the BC br's go down 3 or more inches or do I need to get the BC br extreme drop kit? 2. I kept reading that some of you guys went with different spring rate because the 7k it comes with are to light for our cars. Looking for info on what type of spring rates I should go with. Thanks to everyone in advance!

I have the BC coils on my car. swift spring upgrade, 10k front, 8k rear.
I'm lowered 2.5" front and 3" rear.
I still have over 2" in front and 1" in the rear, or more.

Great thanks a lot. How's the ride with the springs and different spring rate?

Hey guys I just installed bc coils yesterday and the ride was extremely rough and not what I expected. Its my first time every upgrading coils/springs so i'm a total noob at it. Does it settle in and get better after time? Are there any settings that i should tell my mechanic to really dial in on for a better ride? I have a 2009 maxima Thanks for your help and feedback!

Did you upgrade thr springs on the coilovers like maximadrvr did on his? I believe this has to be done to compensate for the added weight of our cars. If you still don't like the ride, you may want to sell your coils and opt for eibachs which is a much less aggressive drop and a ride which isn't much different than stock. Also, I'd suggest getting some sort of rear seat bar (stillen or racingline) if you don't have one already.

It is definitely stiff, but you will want it if you plan to ride really low. I have the damping at about 33%, on the soft side.
I personally think it is a slight bit harsher than perfect, but my wife thinks it is to bumpy. Very little body roll.

Did you get the standard 7k front and rear rates? Upgrade to swift springs?
The ride is going to be substantially harsher than factory. You can adjust the damping to help some. I keep mine on 8 out of the 32 settings.
Factory uses progressive rate springs, where they get stiffer as they compress.
The coils use linear rate, so are heavier through the whole range of compression.

If you don't mind me asking...how much was the swift spring upgrade in addition to the coilovers themselves? I imagine it's kinda pricey....

$320 for all 4 corners, and the rear adapters.
