Car randomly bucking???

I have felt it once in the past, but 3 times in a trip from RI up to ME yesterday. If feels as if the car bucks for a split second almost as if it were not getting gas or there was a tranny issue. Has anyone dealt with this or heard of something similar? Everything seams fine other than that, it's not driving abnormally in any other way. No CEL's and I don't drive it all that hard which makes it odd that it could be a tranny issue. Dought it has anything to do with it, but it was single digit temps the whole way up.

My car did that as I was giving it a good bit of gas trying to go around a stupid driver in traffic. Shortly after my CEL began to blink. I ended up getting a new Cvt out of it.

See here where other people have experienced the same thing you are describing.

Maybe it's the traction control kicking in. Every poster said the wx was cold. Won't slick spots on the road cause you to feel a little bucking as the engine and the rest of the powertrain is adjusting to conditions?

My car would do did that every time I came to the start of a progressively long hill I have to climb here at Fort Irwin. I spoke to the maintenance tech the next time I took it in for my oil change. It turns out the base gas I was using although 91 octane was just a civilian version of MOGAS. I changed to Chevron off post and after a tank or 2 my problem was solved.

Good point, as Chevron 91 octane is the only gas I ever use, I have never experienced the bucking problem.

They are all describing the same thing but looks like no one has a solution. To the first poster here, he must of had a different issue since noone else is getting a CEL. I will just follow that other post since it has been up longer.
