My OCD At Work...
Call me quirky, but ever since I bought my Maxima last October, the Maxima badge at the rear of the car always bothered me. You have the Nissan logo in the center, the MAXIMA badge on the left, and a big, wide open space on the right. Always looked "off" to me.
Took advantage of temperatures in the 60's in Chicagoland today to finally remedy that...

It's funny that I meantioned looking like an Altima because I had to rent a car on Saturday after typing that comment and what did they give me???? A damn Altima!! Black in fact! Ha! It's truly a pos compared to the maxima. The tranny sucks, handling is terrible I almost crashed twice while on curves on the highway (good thing I got the all inclusive insurance) The only plus is the trunk space and the mpgs. I'd take a max over an altima any day!

I think it looks good with the burger as well. Like you, I was definitely going to take off the MAXIMA because of the 'imbalance' of not having anything on the other side. My other main reason was for detailing. Trying to get in those little cracks and openings is just a pain. I removed the burger for that same reason. Now I can take my buffer all the way across without any obstructions.
It's also funny seeing people walk around it trying to figure out what it is. I still have the burger in the front though. I also plasti-dipped the tails so they aren't as bright red.

Yep, you got it. I put 6 coats of smoke and 3 coats of clear. I did it back in November. It's held up very well in the cold and going through several car washes.
