Dissconnecting the dash speakers?
Information is in here.

You have to remove the cover from the A pillar first then the grills will pop off. You will need to remove the two speaker hold down bolts to get at the connectors. Pretty easy with the right tools and some patience. Careful not to drop those bolts they can be a pain to get at.

If you have it, the center channel grill just pops out. Slip something thin in between the dash & the cover & pry it out. Once you get it started, just pull it off. The opening here is a little smaller than with the left & right dash speakers. I made the opening slightly bigger by using a Dremel. This allowed me to install a Vifa 3.5" driver in there.

I believe so. The current Maxima specs say so. Don't know for sure if the older Maxima's were that way. I have navigation & DVD playback capability. Easiest way is to look under the grill if you have a center grill.
