Found out car must have been hit previously

So I bought a 2013 SV, Love the car but noticed lately some minor defects in the body like scratches here and there and the bumper looking a little weird by the passenger side headlight. I did get damage over the winter to my drivers door and brought it to a reputable boy place near my house, immediately the guy looked and it and said the front bumper is not factory and is not sitting right and the car seems like it was hit on the drivers side (major hit, not what I did to it)

anyone have they're bumper completely replaced and painted, I didn't think it was a big deal so i never asked but now I'm curious being this is starting to bother me. was curios on costs to get the bumper OEM and painted from the body show and then the car maybe completely painted over so it looks "like new"

I would love to hear you're guys opinions and costs if anyone knows

thanks!

I feel your pain. I purchased my car used and found out my far was previously in an accident prior to my purchase. I think you could probably get the bumper replaced and painted for a few hundred dollars but having the whole car painted would be very expensive. At least a couple grand to get the whole car prepped and painted. I am sure others here would have a more accurate price for your repairs.

A quality re spray is at least $4k.
Just use insurance for a new bumper, fix whatever damage, have the panels blended and then move on.

Don't know how long you have owned it, but if sold as not being in any previous accidents, a reputable dealer should do something for you.

I had a 2010 Murano that I bought used from the Lexus dealer in 2011. The carfax report was clean and showed no accidents or major repairs. After I owned it for about 3 months I found out from my dealer that the CVT had been replaced by another Nissan dealership. But it didn't show up on the carfax.

I ended up trading it in for an Explorer Sport Trac a month later. No one could explain why the carfax report didn't list the work even though the dealer is obligated to report that kind of stuff. Based on that incident I've lost faith in the carfax reports, I simply take any vehicles I'm interested in buying to a mechanic.
