Anyone ever swap clusters?

does my original milage show up? or the clusters milage?

I've done it on my 5th gen. It was the cluster mileage that shows up, not what's really on your car.

You need to have the new cluster programmed with your actual mileage.

Someone told me Nissan doesn't program and if they need to know the info is in the ECU, based on some quick calculations of numbers, like a counter that counts how many rotations a tire has done in its life time.

I did it on my 5th gen too, with lights and all, was going to change my SMT led colors -- but if I screw it up just exploring options heh.

You can send your cluster to a repair shop and they can program your new one with the correct mileage. My friend had this done at a shop in Houston, TX years ago and I'm sure there are places that still offer this service.
