Okay sorry if I sound like an idiot by asking this question, but is there a manual mode for the 7th Gen Maxima? I recently saw on two separate threads, comparing the D and Ds driving modes, people refer to a third separate "manual" mode. I thought there were just two modes, the normal automatic D, and the simulated fake manual mode Ds. What is this "manual mode" I am hearing about?

 

if you want to go "manual" mode while in Ds

push up on the shift **** -- you go up a gear,
push down on the shift **** -- you go down a gear,

Soon as you do one of the two -- it goes into 3M(or another 1M,2M etc), the M means manual mode.
