Help w/ Coilover Install

Okay so I'm about to install some coilovers. Just installed my Eibachs last week but want to go lower. I know this install will be a lot easier than the Eibachs but I'm still getting a bit confused though because for our cars I have seen two types of rear coilovers.

There is the two piece coilover that come with the strut and spring separate and the one piece that comes with the strut and spring combined.

My question is for the one piece rear coilover..

Okay so with the one piece rear coilovers do I just remove the old Springs, leave the control arm empty and just use the rear coilover with spring attached or what?

Seems weird that the control arm will now be empty but I just want people who have had experience with this to chime in before I actually receive them in the mail. Thank you in advance!

Are you sure that it isn't just a 'example' image picture?

Yes, you would just leave the old spring perch empty.
