Finally A Maxima owner!!!!

This will be my 3rd attempt at writing this but after reading many threads on this forum, I figured I would join the forum, so relax and cozy on up and get ready to read a good story. So when I was toddler, my mom had traded in an 85 Honda CR-X for a 95 Nissan Altima GXE. That was the start of my love for Nissan's. It was beige pearl with the tan interior, 5 speed, and all around just a fantastic car for her and I. I even had a small obsession with the powered antenna. I know, weird right??? Shortly after she purchased the car, I told her that I had wanted it when I was old enough to drive. Her exact words were "this car will be long gone by the time you can drive." Little did she know that when my 16th birthday came around, yep you guessed it, SURPRISE!!!!!! it was my first car. That car was the most reliable (and still is) car that she ever had, and I was thrilled to have it. Aside from a little rust it was the best first car for me. Then in April of 2013 I purchased a 07 Altima 3.5 SE V6. It had 104,000 miles on it but due to my financial situation at the time I wasn't complaining. I was just happy to get a 4th gen Altima with a 3.5L engine. At the time I was going to school to become an Automotive Technician and had worked as a lot attendant at a local Nissan dealership. The next week my job performed a coolant flush service, replaced the spark plugs, and I had one small question about the CVT and the service manager ordered a new CVT for it under warranty. Can't complain about that. Fun fact- my mom liked that car more than she liked her loaded 07 Ford Fusion V6 with less than half the miles. I joke around saying she should have gotten one instead of her Fusion. That car gave me zero issues in the 30,000 miles I put on it. Now since I finished school I moved up to the service department at my job. Fast forward a year and a half later, and I had to re-sticker every car in inventory that had 6+ month old state inspection and emission stickers. Upon all of the cars, one was a 2014 Nissan Maxima that had the sport package. I have always loved the Maxima's since the 4th gens came out and knew that Nissan was offering $4,300 cash back, my job was pushing these out to make room for the 8th gens, and this particular car had my name written all over it. So I decided to fulfill my curiosity and had talked to one of the sales manager at my job. We talked numbers, factored in my VPP pricing and gave me a $5,000 check for my loan on the Altima and the next day, I drove home from work in my new Maxima. I fell in love with the design back in 2008 when they first came out and said to myself "I would like one, one day." I still think the style is very attractive even when compared to the 8th gens. I'm looking forward for many years and trouble free miles out of this car. Thanks for reading and it seems that the Maxima community on here is very friendly and helpful. P.S. I'll post a pic soon here.

Welcome bro. There is nothing like coming out of a bad car situation and really getting something that you want. Sounds like the stars lined up in your case since your finances perked up a bit at the same time the dealership needs to dump those old MAXs. It also seems like your coworkers wanted to go above and beyond to help you out of that situation since you're an internal guy. nice job
