Reverse Side Mirror Tilt

I loaned my car to my sister and when I got it back I noticed the side mirrors were tilting down when reverse was engaged. It only did it for a day or two and I never even knew I had it. They do not tilt anymore. How do I get that back?

Make sure your mirror left/right selection button is not in the center position.

This is an odd issue the Maxima has. I can't remember what the deal was, but we figured out that if the mirror selector was on the L mirror, it would do this odd reset thing and would tilt all the way down or all the way out. Versus putting it in the R mirror select, it would behave normally and would always stay where you programmed it. It might be vice versa. Play around with it.

It was sort of an oddity...some kind of software glitch. Putting it on L mirror or R mirror...one or the other...would cause this odd reposition to the extreme outward or downward position. There are posts on the forum about it.
