Center console slots

Just bought a 2014 Maxima SV. My question is, what are the three slots on the front of the center console? It looks like it would hold coin holders, but my Nissan dealership said that my car doesn't come with them. Any ideas?

I have a 09 SV sport and those two of the three slots are heater switches for the two front seats. On mine the center one is blank.

I think I misstated my question. When I mean center console, I mean the center arm rest that lifts up. Inside, there are three "notched" slots that literally look like coin holders would slide into them. They are just above where my USB plug in is.

Wow! Those are the most unique coin holders. I thought that maybe the spring loaded coin holders maybe slipped down into the slots. I figured out how to use them though. Thanks for the help!
